A p e r s o n a l c h a l l e n g e
When I think about dying, I think of the innerself, the flesh and the soul. While neurons and cells extinguish in chaos, while every living part of ourself goes crazy as if a spreading flame was turning ourself into ash, I still think our journey continue. In this process, our essences, the soul, prepare itself for a new life. In this chaos the soul try to separate its essence from its vehicule. While our souvenir are remembered in a last spread of imagery before being erased, after our body burns out into ice cold and after our counciousness vanish into nothingness, the soul live again just like a phoenix, from its frozen ash into a new behing.
The personal project was spread on several months. Finalised in November 2018, the process goes from learning title design on LearnSquared to an actual finished product with many hours of production. All visual aspect were realised by myself, using old famillial vhs to actually taking advantage of a friend in sleep deprivation because of his finals (He played dead really well). Each shot of the title design were realised with After Effects, with the help of Trapcode Form and Magic Bullet Film.
